640px-Chicken_Farm_034The CAFO program permits facilities where animals are confined in concentration, fed, maintained, or stabled for commercial purposes.

We ensure that public nuisance, health hazards, and/or pollution do not occur from the improper handling, storage, and/or disposal of manure wastes, feedstuffs, animal byproducts, dust, odors, and/or waste materials from such facilities.

The purpose of this oversight is to protect the quality of the environment and safeguard the health and safety of the local population.
