Proposed Report of Facility Information Amendment
The Kern County Public Works Department – owner/operator of the Ridgecrest Recycling & Sanitary Landfill – had submitted a solid waste facility permit amendment application and Joint Technical Document (JTD). Specifically, the Report of Disposal Site Information (Section 1 of JTD) has been amended to include:
- Hours §21600(b)(1)(C)- adjusted hours to match the permit and clarification of additional hours;
- Section 2.A, Waste Types- product stewardship items and organic materials;
- Section 7.B, Salvaging Activities- organic materials handling and storage.
LEA Determination
Kern County Environmental Health Division, acting as the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA), has approved the Joint Technical Document Amendment. The LEA has also determines that the RDSI Amendment do not require modification or revision to the Solid Waste Facility Permit. The LEA accepted the application on October 15, 2018.
